F33 Sport - Water Magic
I guess it’s about time I started a thread and posted a few picture of her as she is currently and the work we’ve started to do to update the interior.
So here she is in her various guises and configurations, she’s not exactly standard as a previous owner took a chainsaw to the roof

And a new cooker in the galley

I should say that Sheridan Marine often maligned for their prices did me a cracking deal on these two items.
I searched long and hard online to find them cheaper, but couldn’t
The fridge was special order, as they don’t stock it

Cockpit seating is next to be fitted.
The custom made seats arrived yesterday and the pedestals today

Re: F33 Sport - Water Magic
The downside of a centre cockpit is that there’s no bench seat to relax on at the end of the day, so two big comfy armchairs it is

I’ll have to save that one for future use...better still, next time I see Patrick Stewart in the pub, I’ll get him to record it on my phone (he frequents one of my lunchtime haunts)
Still lots to do, but getting there

Re: F33 Sport - Water Magic
Noooooo, F1 seats have no padding at all, it’s just a carbon fibre shell moulded to the shape of the driver.
If you’re interested, we sit the driver in the car with no seat, but on the outside of a large plastic bag. When he’s in the correct position (yes there’s a regulation for that) and feels comfortable, we fill the bag with expanding foam (yes, the same stuff used for Freeman deck repairs). When its set, we cut him out and digitally scan the impression in the foam. We create a mould and make that shape in carbon fibre, this makes the seat. His race suit is the only padding, but as he’s pulled into the seat bucket with a 5 point harness, there’s no movement.
The seat also has to be removable from the car with the driver strapped into it as is serves as a backboard in the event of injury

It is a lovely spot
Although the last time we were there, this happened
Which caused major excitement, lots of shouting from the bank, sirens, fire and rescue, police etc
