Salhouse 2020 24-26 July *CANCELLED*
I have provisionally arranged to have out annual meet at Salhouse Broad over the weekend of the 25/26 July 2020. I expect some people will want to come from Friday or stay untill Monday, that's not a problem, individual costs will obviously vary.
Numbers and costs have yet to be finalised but l would appreciate a indication of your requirements to work out the best option.
As last year, if numbers dictate we can hire the whole of mooring 2, max 24 boats (as before) , for a lump sum of £440 for two nights or proportionate for half or even quarter length depending on final numbers.
For information only see.... https://www.salhousebroad.org.uk/mooring.html
Do not individually book, l will be block booking for the event.
This is early notice l realise, but please let me know as soon as you are able. Thanks
Pat, will Cognito booking form be available soon ?

Derek, I am hoping to come to salhouse again this year but hopefully with a boat. I either need to negotiate with tony to bring Minerva, or worse case I will come in my Freeman dinghy and camp there!

I would love to go o one of your trips Derreck now the boat is all fixed but too old, I think to go to Denver sluice around the wash and onto the broads, it is the sea that puts me off

Get Tony to run it round by road, he does a special rate for meets. Make a holiday of it and explore the Broads for a bit

Re: Salhouse 2020 24-26 July *CANCELLED*
I regret to say unless another person(s) comes forward to organise the Salhouse 2020 meet it will be cancelled !
All l will say at this point are there are personal reasons for me stepping down from this event, l apologise to all my friends and fellow boat owners who have enjoyed the meets l have run at Salhouse in the past.
Hopefully someone will come forward to pick up the baton. At present Salhouse have the booking ( 24-26 July) pencilled in, l will leave it at present before cancelling incase a new organiser can be found.
Myself or Pat Warner have details of past and potential attendees which can be handed on if required.
Finally for those that come to the Beccles meet (23-25 May) this is still definitely on !

I emailed past participants of the Beccles meet, unfortunately due to 'operators error' (me !! ) the date appeared on that flyer incorrectly with February . This has been altered to MAY on this version which is the correct date .
SORRY

All Ready to Go - Make your Bookings for the 24th to 26th July 2020 Freeman Salhouse Meet
Salhouse Broad has now been booked for the Freeman Cruisers Meet 24-26 July 2020!! It’s a great way to catch up with other Freeman owners and usually such fun! .
Arrangements as usual - gather Friday afternoon/evening for a casual night and then on Saturday late afternoon/early evening we will be holding a BBQ (BYO) with a fun “Bran Tub” draw - please bring a novelty gift up to value of £5 wrapped with your boat name on. We usually head off Sunday morning (moorings are available at your own cost after lunchtime if you wish to stay on).
Charges will be similar to last year, we aim to hire the whole of Mooring 2, max 24 boats (as before) at a cost of £440 for two nights - depending on how many people book we can reduce the size of the moorings accordingly. Therefore mooring charges will be decided on number of boats and any side on moorings, last year was £22 stern on, £30 side on, day visitors £6 on day.
For those wishing to attend, please book online via the freeman-cruisers.forumotion.co.uk site, go to the 2020 Events page and complete the Freeman Event Registration Form.
We say a big thank you to Derek Smalley for his organisation over the past few years .. This years organisers are Jane & Mike Bowden and Ray & Maureen Underwood - please feel free to contact any of us if you have any questions - FB messenger, or the Forum.
