Anyone contemplating the South to North Breydon crossing to go to Salhouse for the July meeting, the tide times are very favourable, see screenshot below

Actually this was the last thing l had in mind when setting the date, so pure good luck
( By chance the North to South crossing for Beccles weekend ain't too bad either.)

Re: Salhouse 2019. 26-28 July
Marek, it's about 5.30 hrs from Wroxham to Gt Yarmouth YS, so Salhouse is nearer, say 5 hrs , but l would allow 6 hrs to be safe. So to catch the 14.11 Breydon slack water on Sunday you need to leave Salhouse at 08.00 ish, No later than 08.30 !! ( No stops allowed in this calculation)

Beccles is now done, time to turn our attention to the next meet on the program, Salhouse
Only two months to go !! So get yourself booked in on the 2019 EVENTS tab at the top of the page, if you haven't already done so. I will reminder email past participants who don't frequent the Forum or Facebook. I need to give the Ranger numbers ASAP.
Moorings may be limited due to previous success of this venue.
"Salhouse secret bran tub "again and themed dress (suggestions please) are the highlights at the event, Pat has suggested dress to suit your boat year of production ( there will be a lot of 70's flares !!)

For anyone taking a boat that’s not from the Broads, we recently found this list of Cassette toilet disposal points and petrol sales.
https://www.broads-authority.gov.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0008/418337/APPX-9-Boatyard_Marina-Refuelling-Installations.pdf
It’s not completely up to date as the Waveney River Centre no longer sell petrol

To secure the whole of 'The Hill' mooring (95M, c.24 boats) under the new Salhouse block booking method we need 22 boats paying the full £20 for two nights, we are nearly there with about 17 staying the whole weekend ( 4 or 5 have booked for the day or just one night). We should make it as l have 8 possible still to respond !
The alternative is too hire 3/4 of the length (71M, c. 18 boats) which may be a bit cramped !
Once l have the finite figure l will pay the required 20% deposit and then email everyone to pay ME prior to the event. This all sounds complicated but it shouldn't be if people pay their dues !

Re: Salhouse 2019. 26-28 July
Another boat registered ...Thistledew
To expand on my previous post please read the following:
I do have a bit of an issue with the Salhouse new group booking system, in the past we have paid individually for what we wanted, this year they have implemented a system where I have to book a length of mooring pay a 20% deposit and fit the boats in. At present I think we would need the full length (95 M) which will cost £220 per 24 hrs (ie a total £440 for the two nights)
We have a total of 22 boats booked so far. At £10 per night x 2 nights x 22 boats we cover the total, but with some only wanting a 24hr stay or just a day, we could fall short, we could have some no shows ....... we might even have a couple more bookings.
I would like to think that if necessary all participants pay a little over the odds so we can cover the total cost, Unfortunately I can't give a precise figure,it will depend on the final numbers, but I hope it will be no more than £3 (If a surplus is made, I will donate it to a charity)
There are a couple of boats to date asking for side on,unfortunately this will cost more than the £10/24 hrs to pay for the extra mooring length required
I trust the above is acceptable to those coming.

Re: Salhouse 2019. 26-28 July
Copied this from my Facebook post.
It gives the amount each participant will need to pay me before the event. (l will individually email my bank details).
If anything is incorrect please let me know in the next few days as l will be paying the 20% deposit next week and the balance prior to the event. Hope this is all clear and ok with you.
Thankyou
(@Simritdave ), if you are arriving Thursday as per your Cognito registration, you will need to pay for Thursday night separately yourself)

I have paid the deposit of £88 to secure the whole length of the mooring we have used in the past, and will pay the balance of £352 before the event so do not pay Salhouse direct
I will send out individual emails with the amount to pay and the method of payment so please wait until you receive my email.
I have copied the balance sheet again at the start of the post.
The amount to pay above depends on everyone paying their billed amount as a minimum ( if any surplus is collected it will be donated to a charity)
Finally can l stress the point, any non payments will effect the total and presumably have to come out of my pocket !!

Just two weeks to go !
Good probability that we will be joined by Keith and Janet( hope I've got that right) with F26 April Fool.
Still room for more just message me first
Final reminder about the 'Bran Tub' Saturday night, read about it in earlier posts. Fancy dress decided optional, so use your imagination if partaking !
