Yep
Hopefully we’ll be there.
We could do with a recommendation for a slipway and friendly marina in the northern Broads as we plan a bit of a holiday again

Pat, talk to Tony, he launched PG in at Potter Heigham in front of the pilots office for free. There is also a nice slipway at Thurne Dyke, not sure if he has used that one? Herbert Woods will take visitors (as will most hire companies) but not on Saturdays.
Martham could also be a viable alternative, which will give you access to Hickling and Horsey if you are prepared to go the THE bridge afterwards as you head for Beccles ;-)

Pat, l too was going to suggest Tony seems to have the know.
l presume you need somewhere to store the car for the week, whilst you holiday, and then return to base/slipway ?

Re: Beccles Meet. May 25-28th 2018
Was hoping to attend one of the Broads meets next year, but - have a flight in a Tiger Moth booked for the July weekend (only date they could give me next year - and - any money it will be cancelled at the last minute). May is too early as wife will not be quite retired by then, and we have a few holiday commitments next year. We were hoping to make it a holiday as we've never done the broads before and it seems a cheap way of doing it via Tony Tugboats. Hey Ho perhaps 2019?.

Jim, sorry to hear the 2018 dates don't suit , if the 'Tiggy' adventure falls through come along to Salhouse by car to get a flavour and pencil it in for the July 2019 meet !
You could probably combine it with a flight in a historic aircraft(?) at Old Buckenham Airfield ?

Potter would work, we’re thinking Wednesday to Wednesday. We have to consider TTB though, who may need her to sit for a day or twoSimritdave wrote:Pat, talk to Tony, he launched PG in at Potter Heigham in front of the pilots office for free. Re: Beccles Meet. May 25-28th 2018
Looking ahead!! but is there anyone who is thinking of attending either Beccles in May or Salhouse in July with a musical talent ?
Just an idea but I'm (trying) to learn the Ukelele and thought an accompanied singsong around the campfire (BBQ !!) might be a nice idea ?
Idea for a Christmas present........Guitar ? mouth organ ? paper and comb !!??
Ideas anyone ?? (Preferably not rude !!)

I'm pretty handy on a trumpet.....
.... and keep it under your hat.... don't tell everyone or they will start to get excited.... but I MAY be able to bring Liberty to Beccles for the meet. From her home base in Cambridgeshire all the way round the coast..... but it depends on all sorts of things falling into place.
PS..... Can you get a F32 into Beccles????

Re: Beccles Meet. May 25-28th 2018
Thank you to all the people that have booked to date, it's looking as if numbers will rise yet again this year !
Just an important note, although the Cognito form for the Broads events states 'Do you agree to pay for your mooring in advance' this is NOT the case, mooring fees are the individuals responsibility on the day, they are not paid in advance, so your request is for mooring space allocated only which i will book with the Harbour master/ Salhouse. If you change your mind about coming for any reason please let me know so l can update the appropriate venue.
Thankyou Derek.

Re: Beccles Meet. May 25-28th 2018
Do you know what the cost of mooring at Beccles will be??
Hopefully I can scrape together enough money to pay for some diesel and a Broads toll and join you there. I'm just off to look down the back of the sofa.....

Re: Beccles Meet. May 25-28th 2018
If your coming to the Beccles meeting and needs electric hook up, do you have one of these you could bring ? Electric points are (were) limited, and with the number of boats requiring leccy we could be struggling to provide a hook up without one of these or even more !!
Also please be careful with your usage if we split single supply posts, the total ampage available must not be exceeded, so be considerate to your neighbors !
I have found one on eBay for under £9, if no one has one to bring I will buy it, so please let me know if you have one to share.

Spoke to the Harbour master today (Friday 4 May), the 3 side on moorings (Acuerela/Yasmin 2 will be along the river frontage ( next to the live in barge)and up to the corner, Minimax.
.
Stern on will occupy the next spaces working downwards towards the HB office within the basin, so all nice and cosy. 17 boats so far, but still room for more !
