We’re considering (Now Confirmed) Abingdon lock island as a venue for a gathering in mid August

I’ll post more details as we finalise them.

Kings Lock Island is worth looking at - large area for BBQ's etc, if it's not too far upstream?. The trout pub is not too far downstream (about 3/4 mile).

I did consider that one Jim, but thought Abingdon might give more options for food, shopping and rafting if we need to. There is camping on the island and toilets with an outside loo for the guys on beer Wink

We have 180 feet of mooring booked from Friday the 20th of August

Mooring fees will be required, more details nearer the time

Another benefit of Abingdon is the access for cruisers taller than 7'6. Think many venues had been considered but probably, if it's going to happen it needed to be decided fairly soon
