Survey done - Deal Done
Just had the survey done and I will be the proud new owner of the Fluvious ( Flu Virus) on Monday, name change is on the cards after the vaccine takes effect.
Enough bits and pieces to be done before she gets put back in the water in Mar/Apr.
The hard bit will be finding a mooring that ticks both boxes, location/money,
Potter Heigham would be ideal but pricey
Martham is affordable but no spaces.
Horning seem right price wise but parking and a row boat....
The search continues.

Welcome to Freeman ownership. You’ll find one, all of the Broads are lovely, and all accessible by road, so cast your net a little further

Re: Survey done - Deal Done
Fluvius is Latin for "river" or "waterway" and nothing to do with flu virus!
I think it's rather a good name but then Boris Johnson has made Latin rather unfashionable!

They have a price per foot on the website, so you can work out if it fits the budget before calling

Finding a mooring.
"Hi"
you may like to try ferry marina as I know they had some space, good luck and welcome to the Freeman owners club.

"Hi" Good luck but the only issue you may have is that you will have problems getting under Potter Higham and getting back to your mooring so you may find you are quite limited to your cruising .but look forward to seeing you out on the water.

I was assured the 23 is fine for all bridges on the broads, the air draught on the 23 is 6'10", Potter Heigham is 6'6" at high tide with a fall @ 9" to low tide.Calixte wrote:"Hi" Good luck but the only issue you may have is that you will have problems getting under Potter Higham and getting back to your mooring so you may find you are quite limited to your cruising .but look forward to seeing you out on the water.
I think I'll become adept at folding down the windscreen and mast to be on the safe side.
Failing that I'll just have to pick up 4 or 5 20 stone mates at Potter Heighham each time I want to pass through.

The theory of not going under low bridges at high tide is fine, but it will limit you. I am at the other end of the Broads but need to time passing under Beccles Old road bridge which is also circa 6'-6" at HW.
I note you say you may need to drop the screen, a distinct possibility if you want unrestricted access to the network.
Oh ! Btw welcome and cracking boat, but then I'm biased !!
