Re: Hello to all.
Good idea! I’ll see if anyone can give me a few lessons. We have a modified gear so it’s on the side by your left hand. Thanks for the tip!

Re: Hello to all.
I am up there by myself this weekend so we can hopefully have a chat and take it from there.
Ps I was looking at fitting a modified gear change but had decided i like using my leg to control things, this now gives me a chance to check your setup out before deciding for definite which way to go.

That sounds like a plan John! That would be wonderful if you don’t mind. Thank you!

Re: Hello to all.
Lovely to meet you today John, now we have some boat envy/ ideas for little Alice!
We only went about 3 bridges and had some mild panic when passing a boat but on the whole not bad for a first go! Roger was looking after the throttle for us on the turning round and reversing into the mooring so some more practice needed... will maybe try going solo on Monday if the weather holds!

Re: Hello to all.
Great meeting you all today, just wish I could have stayed longer, hopefully can on Monday. I glad you made it out on to the water. Not bad at all for a first time! You have good neighbours on your mooring and many more on that marina so you will do ok. See you soon. Ps I hope they fix that mooring soon

Re: Hello to all.
Yes, Roger was going to “jump” out to pull the boat in but remembered at the last minute.
We’ve had a mini clean and put things back into a bit more order inside. We took the box home and have cut off the smaller one, quick coat of varnish tomorrow the hopefully we can get the seat back on. Next step is fixing on the solar panel and wiring it in and getting the windows water tight, I think it’s probably worth replacing them when we get the new rubber as they’re a bit cloudy.
Hope to see you Monday

Re: Hello to all.
We found another pvc canvas in the boat - not sure what to do with it. May be of use to someone I guess?

Re: Hello to all.
A stab in the dark - could it be a narrow cover that buttons to the top of the hood (storage) well particularly when the covers are off? Makes it look tidy to onlookers. I believe the correct name for it is tonneau cover.

Re: Hello to all.
If it's the full cover then use that over the winter to save your good one

Re: Hello to all.
It’s s full one yes, we are getting a canvas one made so would likely save the current one to use for crappy weather so we’d have 3! A little bit overkill me thinks.

Re: Hello to all.
Little Alice is a hardtop model unless that nice feature was added more recently and the original hood is still in the boat?

Re: Hello to all.
Must be the original Stephen, the only difference is the rear window is smaller and it’s Velcro not zips

Re: Hello to all.
The 2 triangular pieces with the Velcro are privacy panels to stick to the inside of the 2 windowed side curtains. The whole set might be useful to someone but unlikely there are two boats in the world of Freeman where all the turnbuckles and eyelets will match up without repositioning and reshaping. Sadly I see no tonneau cover for the hood-well - but its only a feature required by fanaticists!

Ah I see, that makes sense. The one that’s on at the minute has two sections for the sides. That does have the tonneau cover
