Any Ideas
There are 2 of these in my dash, they have small pcb boards on the back but are not connected to anything.
Any idea what they are and should I worry about them not working[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Any Ideas
Yes - could be a volt meter. How many wires come out the back, and is it possible to trace where they go?

there is just a black and red wire about 2" long on the back that are not connected to anything, and no obviouse corresponding connection they may have been connected to.

Re: Any Ideas
Could well be a volt meter if it does not have any control buttons. If it was mine, I would remove it from the boat and connect it to a battery (black to neg, red to pos) and see what comes up on the display! For safety you could run it through a small in line fuse (1 amp). If it does not work and you want a volt meter, there are plenty on Ebay for a few pound.
