Freeman Gathering - Great Ouse Ely 2-3 Sept 2017

This event has been running in the Facebook pages , but never really made it to here. There are already 8 boats booked , which will fill the available mooring space, so unless there are cancellations sorry , no more room. (unless your coming by car  !)
This is trying to reach those who have booked to let them know whats happening.

Talking to John Simpson who is running the Gt Ouse event about programme. Between us we think this should work ?
1. A picnic Saturday lunch, 2. BBQ Saturday evening (Not communal, bring your own and please share ) 3. Sunday lunch at Ship Pub ( If you would like this option can you let John Simpson know (Facebook messenger) so he can book tables etc, Thanks)
Presumably people will want to leave for home Sunday afternoon, so an early lunch is envisaged if we can get the numbers together. Thanks hope to see you there

l was only able to attend the second day and although there were only five boats on Sunday (one leaving just before l arrived) there had been other boats calling in during the Saturday plus six or eight Freeman followers that attended by car.
Considering the event never got publicised to the extent of the other events held this year, l feel it was a very good inaugural gathering, and hope next year off can be given extra coverage.
So John Simpson, thank you for hosting this event and l look forward to attending next year, perhaps even with my boat.
l never took any photos , but have asked if l can post Andy's and Anita's, just waiting for ok (recieved thankyou both)
