Current owner since August 2013.
Reluctant sale to fund another Freeman boat rebuild!

Since purchase I've travelled over 2000km on the Thames and Norfolk Broads with no major issues. During that time approximately £5000 has been spent on improving the boat.

In 2013 New; Exhaust manifold, starter motor, solenoid, battery leads, 2 burner hob and grill, engine and auxiliary battery.

In 2014. New, 2x solar vents, radio/cd/USB player, main cabin lighting
In 2015 New, Engine seals, timing chain, drive gear and adjuster, gearbox oil seal, core plugs, stainless steel adjustable canopy frame, Cockpit hood, Tornue cover.

In 2016. New log hose and gland packing, propeller overhauled, fuel and water tanks removed and cleaned inside and out, Bilges repainted, Antistatic wiring upgraded, remote greaser to rudder post fitted, Deck fittings new gaskets fitted, Some deck fittings replaced others rechromed, cabin window rubbers replaced, glass front windows fitted, front deck foam insulation reinforced, upper and lower rubbing strakes replaced with maintenance free WPC custom made ones. Below waterline osmosis treated and 7 coat repair programme completed, cockpit windshield rubber replaced, side fenders replaced, auxiliary engine bracket fitted, stainless steel davits fitted.

In 2017. Dynamo full restoration, cylinder head  overhaul and engine cooling channels acid descale, cabin carpet removed cleaned and refitted. New Boat Safety Certificate issued 23rd September 2017 expires 22nd September 2021.

Boat comes complete with 2 deck lights, depth sounder, compass, bilge vent, cool box, anchor, mooring lines, mooring pins and hammer, fire extinguishers and blankets, porta poti type toilet, fuel and water dip sticks, spare dynamo plus anything else I think may be useful to the new owner.

The new owner need only supply personal items such as bedding, cutlery, insurance and relevant waterway licence.
Currently moored near Lechlade  on the river Thames the boat is being sold with no mooring.
A temporary mooring may be available down river for a month to allow the new owner to make transport/mooring arrangements.

The boat is advertised elsewhere.
Payment must be cleared prior to handover.
This is a very reluctant sale if I could afford 2 boats I would keep this one!
Hopefully it will go to an owner who is prepared to carry on putting into the upkeep of this classic river boat as I have. These boats were known as the Rolls Royce of the rivet for good reason. To that end whilst it is sold as seen with no warranty I will do my utmost to ensure you get as much pleasure from it as I have had, especially if she stays on the Thames where she is a well known and admired boat.

£7000.00

Loads of pictures available message me at the mobile number above with your e-mail address and I will send you an initial dozen taken this month.

Thanks Pat. Never could get a photo on here!
However I've posted it £500 less on here than buy it now on e bay so let hope a forum member with ownership aspirations buys it via this forum. A running cost contribution will be forthcoming. Thanks again.

Sorry but relieved to let you know Fridays Child has been sold. The new owners are based in Abingdon where the boat will be moving to and hopefully will become absorbed into the Freeman clan. Please give them a warm hello if you see them on the river and as they are nearly new to boating and the joys of Freeman ownership please give them any assistance for advice if needed. Thanks. Ken

Congratulations Ken. I'm sure the new owners will be very happy with her. Now you can crack on with your new one and work the same magic there.
