THAMES MEET 2016 27th to 29th August

A bump for the Thames meet, we're a little thin on the ground, but have a lovely mown grass area with moorings  plenty of space for everyone

Come on folks, get signed up. It should be a great time with super moorings with plenty of space! Lets not let the Norfolk meet put us in the shade again this year!

Just to show I'm not biased, I'm going to both, (unfortunately not via Flitter) even though I'm organising (with Profs and others help) the Norfolk do.
It's all about promoting the Freeman marque, so if you are thinking , "we havn't got a Freeman meet where I sail " go on organise it ! With help from the forum it is possible

Our moorings are the nice mown area at the bottom of the photo. The raft of Freemans at the top of the photo is Sheridan Marine

Can someone tell me what the river tax cost would  be to bring and use an inflatable or a car topped dinghy for the 2 day Thames meet ?
Had a look at the EA website and can't really understand it, could l claim to be a tender to someones else's boat ?

Really !! For putting a 7' tender type  rowing boat on the Thames for a couple of days , surely there must be a simpler solution ?

Every time I go through Hurley there are loads of little inflatables buzzing about and I'd bet there's not a licence plate to be seen.

I'm still planning on comming, but not by boat. The cost to transport back is too prohibitive. Even taking TTBoats generous offer of pulling a few strings it would break the bank for me!!

Getting close now, really looking forward to meeting people. How are the numbers going Pat/Ken?

We're about double the boats of last year, a few more have said they'll come but not registered, we'll have to see I guess

Weather for Bank Holiday is looking good for South Stoke area, must be that sacrifice to the sun God thats done it

Derek, you should've been on the Thames planning committee in charge of weather

Looking good for us to attend for Sat afternoon and overnight to Sunday. DO I have to register for this (I see it mentioned in some of the above comments) or can I just turn up?
