Thanks for suggestions, at the moment it looks like we will try to tie up with tony wherever he launches and jump on his 26 for the cruise to site.

2, Does anyone know if I can buy a Short Visit Toll from Gt.Yarmouth Yacht Station? and/or Oulton Broad Yacht Station??? I'm not happy to risk £48 up front!!!

Re: Freeman Forum - Broads meet
@simritdave has organised access for one vehicle to the meet site. @F23 Flittermouse has kindly agreed to provide that vehicle. If for any reason you are unable to make the 10 minute walk to the site, or have anything heavy/bulky that needs transporting to the site, please contact Derek directly. Please note that access is very limited, perhaps only one trip in the car.
Access and parking for the site is shown on the map below.

Re: Freeman Forum - Broads meet
Today I carried out a recce of the facilities for those travelling by car.
The carpark is adjacent the road just through the village of Salhouse, there seems ample parking (there was today, weekends may be different)
There is a voluntary suggested parking fee of £1 which seems very reasonable, there is a slot for money in a security post.
There are wheelbarrows chained near the carpark, I will ask how/if we can use them if anybody wants to take anything heavy down from the carpark.
The walk to the broad takes about 10 minutes at a slow rate along smooth gravelled paths.
The owners see... http://www.salhousebroad.org.uk run a campsite adjacent the broad. I noticed it was £13 night for up to 4 persons
There are toilets in the carpark and apparently a portaloo on the camping site.
BBQ concrete slabs are set in the ground at frequent intervals.
The Broad itself is a beautiful spot, with easy stern on moorings
if the weather is good I'm sure all attendees will have a fabulous time
(Photo is view from near campsite I took today)

Re: Freeman Forum - Broads meet
Hi,
All being well, we will both be there. We will confirm for definite (Jon needs to swap an on call day) shortly. We will be parking and walking and would be able to bring a gas bbq (if someone can provide a bit of gas)

Re: Freeman Forum - Broads meet
My wife can testify about my excess gas production, but I'm not sure how to bottle it!!!!
Operation "Get Liberty to the Broads" is going well. (Thats only a working title - I'm working on a better one for the T-Shirts!!)
Tide times are all calculated... there will have to be a few early starts, not something I am famous for, but i'm sure my body will recover eventually.
Everything is in place to arrive in Gt Yarmouth on 29th July, but the weather is going to be the regulating factor.... too much wind and we may not make it. Fingers crossed.

Re: Freeman Forum - Broads meet
Hi all I haven't been on here for awhile as we finally moved to Potter Heigham, and have been working on the house.
We are still expecting to come to the Forum meet but I thought we needed to pay some money upfront (mooring!!!) but I can't find who or how to do it I have search through these pages but I just don't seem to find it.
Can I pay via paypal?
Thanks

Re: Freeman Forum - Broads meet
Good morning folks, or as we say in Houston Hi Y'all. Back in civilisation for a couple of weeks, I want to get a cheque sent off to Salhouse confirming numbers and paying for those who have confirmed.
I have received payments from Deano, Pat, Steve Longhurst and Mark Cass, gents, please drop me a pm with your boat name (Prof, I think I know yours ;-) ) and I will add that to the note I send to Salhouse. If you do plan to join the meet, please do confirm your attendance, as I need to finalise mooring spaces required with the Broad Owners.
If other attendees can get their payments to me by say next Wednesday 8th July, I will add boat name to the list I send to Salhouse to secure your mooring. Please pay me as a friend in PayPal at c2684lark@yahoo.co.uk
Broads boaters, please spread the word and try to get as many attendees as we can. Derek, maybe you can resurrect the NBF posting?
Derek has already posted regarding site access and has arranged for his car to be allowed through the gates. Anyone needing assistance, please contact him (Flittermouse) directly.
I suggest on the day, boats arrive Salhouse late morning/lunchtime. Enjoy the afternoon yapping and having a glass of something. Late afternoon, cruise in company up to Wroxham Broad and back to the Salhouse moorings for overnight. The Rangers will be on site until 7:00pm and they tell me they will secure your moorings whilst you are cruising, just let them know you will be back.
Is there anything else I need to do?

Hi Dave
My boat name is Chickadee 2. Plan to be there circa 10-11. Look forward to seeing everyone. Will spread the word on all the Freemans in my moorings as I don't think any are on the forum Steve

Re: Freeman Forum - Broads meet
Thanks Steve,
So we have Chickadee 2, Piero Gianni (helmed by The Prof), Liberty and Mark (arghhh! can't remember your boat name, sorry).
Also saying they will attend (I think) are:
Tony Tugboats
Maid Marion
Czaradog
Please confirm, would be great if we could get to 10 boats. Bloody Hampton Safari bath tubs get 20+ - we got a few years to get up to their numbers :-)
This weekend will be my last on Piero Gianni for a while, if anyone is about and wants to meet up with me to pay, pm me your mobile number and I will call you to see if that would be possible. I will be cruising from Potter Heigham to Salhouse on Friday/Saturday and back on Sunday.
