I think that's been for sale for some time now and I'm sure I've seen that listing before over the last few months. If it hasn't been attended to for a few years it's going to need a lot spent on to bring it back. The seller could help himself out a bit by clearing it out, giving it a good wash and taking some up to date photos. Or just put it on auction with a low start. But he probably won't do any of these things.

If you are putting photos on an AD at least clear up the dirty washing, old crockery, sleeping bags etc.
Probably accept £4.5k ? Then there is money in the kitty to carry out refurb, if engine sound and hull ok, finish up with an £8k+ boat.
 Always a risk without viewing

Good price whatever especially with a fairly new canopy. Would never put a boat on auction with eBay, too many thinking they will get a boat for peanuts. As Derek says few grand or so tidying it up and you have an £8-10k boat

Do you have any examples of a 26 in good condition selling for that price recently?

I have sent him a text suggesting he tidies her up we will see what occurs if the engine is sound and diesel a good start i would have thought especially at £4.600 i paid that for my freeman 22 mk2 and beside the engine seizing which was my fault all though i was told the engine was knackered anyway i have spent anther £4000 at least heat exchanger, toilet, propellor shaft ,pumps petrol and water, cushion covers, control panel etc etc if the body good as well a bargain for a 26 but i bet their is a major probleme somewhere

Jones Boatyard had two a while back which sold around £11k to £12k. This is what good ones fetch. You will struggle to find a 26 cheper than this one unless it's a money pit wreck.
